10BASE-T An implementation of the Ethernet IEEE standard on 24 gauge un-
shielded twisted-pair wiring, a baseband medium, at 10 megabits per
second.
802.3 Defined by the IEEE, these standards govern the use of the

network access method used by Ethernet networks.
802.5 Defined by the IEEE, these standards govern the use of the Token
Ring network access method.
ALAP (AppleTalk

protocol governs packet transmission on LocalTalk.
