Operations Common to Each Mode
Note:
When connecting a hands-free kit, make sure
that the setting is ON to receive the telephone
audio through the system.
ON:
You can listen to your telephone calls from
the speakers connected to this unit.
When listening to your calls on your car
speakers, you can adjust the volume by
turning the [ROTARY] knob.
MUTE:
The sound from this unit is muted during
telephone calls.
4. Press the [A] button to return to the previous
mode.
Setting the auto-volume
function
(CALIBRATE/A-VOL SENS)
You can automatically change the volume to
match your car's speed.
The factory default setting is “LOW”.
1. Press the [A] button to set the adjust mode.
2. Touch on the setting item display to
select “CALIBRATEunder “SETTING”.

3. Accelerate to a speed of 50 km.
4. When you reach 50 km, touch START.
Calibration is executed.
After 2 seconds or longer, you will hear a
long beep, and “SUCCESSFUL” will appear
on the display.
If you hear a short beep, this indicates that
calibration failed. Repeat the procedure from
step 3.
5. Next, adjust the sensitivity. Touch on
the setting item display to select “A-VOL
SENS” under “SETTING”.

6. Either touch on the right of the
display, or turn the [ROTARY] knob to select
the sensitivity.
Each time you turn the [ROTARY] knob, the
setting changes in the following order:
OFF (no change in volume) LOW
(change in volume: small) MID-LOW
MID MID-HIGH HIGH (change in
volume: large) ...
7. Press the [A] button to return to the previous
mode.
Performing a system check
This function allows you to perform a system
check from the adjust mode when required.
1. Press the [A] button to set to the adjust
mode.
2. Touch on the setting item display to
select “SYSTEM CHECK” under
SETTING”.

3. Touch and hold START for 1 second or
longer.
System Checkappears on the display.
4. Press the [ROTARY] knob.
The system check starts.
When the system check is complete,
Completedappears on the display.
5. Press the [ROTARY] knob again.
The main display for the radio mode
appears.
