PTY seek
1. Touch the [PTY SELECT] key in the MENU
display and touch the [ITEM SELECT] key. The
PTY select mode is turned on.
2. Select a desired PTY.
3. Press the right (d) or left (a) side of
[SEARCH] button. If you press the right side,
the unit seeks a PTY broadcast moving up the
frequencies; if you press the left side, it seeks
moving down the frequencies.
∗ If no station with the selected PTY broadcast
can be received, the unit returns to PTY select
mode.
PTY preset memory
1. Touch the [PTY SELECT] key in the MENU
display and touch the [PRESET] key. The PTY
select mode is turned on.
2. Select a desired PTY.
3. If you press and hold any one of the [DIRECT]
buttons for 2 seconds or longer, the selected
PTY is stored into that preset channel memory.
Operating the PTY SELECT display
when the panel is open
1. Touch the [PTY SELECT] key in the MENU
display to select the PTY SELECT display.
2. In the PTY SELECT display, PTY is selected
and PTY memory can be adjusted.
Touch the [PRESET] key or [ITEM SELECT]
key to select “PRESET” or “ITEM SELECT”.
3. When “PRESET” is selected, PTY preset
memory can be called for and stored.
4. Touch the preset No.1 to 6 key to call for the
preset PTY ITEM.
Touch the preset No.1 to 6 key for 2 seconds
to store the PTY ITEM currently selected to
any Preset No. selected.
5. When “ITEM SELECT” is selected, PTY se-
lection is carried out.
Touch the [w] key or [z] key to select PTY
ITEM.
Touch the [PTY ITEM] key to set the selected
PTY ITEM.
6. After adjustment is finished, touch the [RTN]
key to return to the STANDARD display.
Emergency broadcast
If an emergency broadcast is received, all the func-
tion mode operations are stopped. “ALARM” ap-
pears in the display and the emergency broad-
cast can be heard.
●Cancelling an emergency broadcast
Touch the [DAB MODE] key in the MENU display
and the [AF] key appears in the display.
If you touch the [AF] key, emergency broadcast
reception is cancelled.
