Turning the unit on and
selecting a source

Shows which source has been selected.
You can select a source you want to listen to.
To switch to the DVD player, load a disc in the
unit to switch to DVD-V.
% When using the touch panel keys,
touch the source icon and then touch the
desired source name.
The source names are displayed and select-
able ones are highlighted.
! DISC 1 – Built-inDVD player disc 1
! DISC 2 – Built-inDVD player disc 2
! DISC 3 – Built-inDVD player disc 3
! DISC 4 – Built-inDVD player disc 4
! DISC 5 – Built-inDVD player disc 5

the following sources:

Notes
! In the following cases,the sound source will
not change:
— When there isno unit corresponding to the
selected source connectedto this unit.
— When there isno disc in the unit.
— When there isno magazine in the multi-
CD player.
— When the AUX(auxiliary input) is setto off
(refer to page 94).
— When the AV (AV input)is not set to
VIDEO (refer to page87).
! External unit refers toa Pioneer product(such
as one available inthe future) that, although
incompatible as a source,enables control of
basic functions by thisunit. Two external units
can be controlled by this unit. Whentwo exter-
nal units are connected, the allocation of
them to external unit1 or external unit 2 is
automatically set by thisunit.
! When this unit’s blue/white lead is connected
to the vehicle’s auto-antenna relay control
terminal, the vehicle’s antenna extends when
this unit’s source isturned on. To retractthe
antenna, turn the sourceoff.
