1 Function display
Shows the function names.
% Touch A.MENU and then touch
FUNCTION to display the function names.
The function names are displayed and oper-
able ones are highlighted.
# When A.MENU is not displayed, you can dis-
play it by touching the screen.
# You can also display MENU by clicking the
joystick.
# To go to the next group of function names,
touch NEXT.
# To return to the previous group of function
names, touch PREV.
# To return to the previous display, touch BACK.
# To return to the playback display, touch ESC.
Notes
! The dynamic range control is effective only on
Dolby Digital sounds. (Refer to page 43.)
! If you do not operate the function within about
30 seconds, the display is automatically re-
turned to the playback display.
Repeating play
There are two repeat play ranges for the Video
CD playback: TRACK (track repeat) and DISC
(disc repeat).
! During PBC playback of Video CDs, this
function cannot be operated.
1 Touch A.MENU and FUNCTION and then
touch REPEAT.
2 Touch either of the following touch
panel keys to select the repeat range.
! DISC Repeat the current disc
! TRACK Repeat just the current track
Note
If you perform track search or fast forward/re-
verse, the repeat play range changes to DISC.
Pausing Video CD playback
Pause lets you temporarily stop disc playback.
% Touch f during playback.
The icon e is displayed for four seconds and
playback is paused, letting you view a still
image.
# To resume playback at the same point that you
turned pause on, touch f again.
Notes
! You can also turn pause function on or off
using PAUSE. To display PAUSE, touch
A.MENU and then touch FUNCTION.
! Depending on the disc and the playback loca-
tion on the disc, the icon
may be displayed,
indicating that still playback is not possi-
ble.
