Displaying text information
on MP3/WMA disc
Text information recorded on a MP3/WMA
disc can be displayed.
% Press DISPLAY.
Press DISPLAY repeatedly to switch between
the following settings:
Folder (folder name)File (file name)
T.Title (track title)Artist (artist name)
Album (album title)Comment (comment)
BitRate (bit rate)
# When playing back WMA files, album title and
comment are not displayed.
# When playing back MP3 files recorded as VBR
(variable bit rate) files, the bit rate value is not dis-
played even after switching to bit rate. (VBR will
be displayed.)
# If specific information has not been recorded
on an MP3/WMA disc, NO XXXX will be dis-
played (e.g., NO NAME).
Scrolling text information
in the display
This unit can display the first 19 letters only of
Folder, File, T.Title, Artist, Album and
Comment. When the recorded information is
longer than 19 letters, you can scroll the text
to the left so that the rest of the text informa-
tion can be seen.
% Press DISPLAY and hold until the text
information begins to scroll to the left.
The rest of the text information will appear in
the display.
Selecting tracks from the
file name list
File name list lets you see the list of file names
(or folder names) and select one of them to
playback.
1 Use the joystick to select FL&TR LIST.
2 Use the joystick to select the desired
file name (or folder name).
Move up or down to change the file name (or
folder name); click to select.
When you select the file, that selection will
begin to play.
# When you have selected a folder, a list of the
names of the files (or the folders) in it can be
viewed. Repeat this operation to select the de-
sired file name.
# To go to the next group of names of files (or
folders), move the joystick to NEXT and click it.
# To return to the previous group of names of
files (or folders), move the joystick to PREV and
click it.
# To return to the previous list (the folder one
level higher), move the joystick to
and click
it.
