Connections
Be sure to turn off the power (set it to standby) then
unplug the power cord from the power outlet whenever
making or changing connections.
Also refer to the operating instructions of the device
being connected.
Connecting the HDMI
OUT terminal
Using a single cable, video and audio signals can be
transmitted to HDMI-compatible equipment as digital
signals with no loss of quality.
Note
This unit is designed for connection with HDMI-
compatible devices. It may not operate properly when
DVI devices are connected. When connecting DVI
devices, check operation beforehand with the actual
converters, cables, etc., that will be used.
1080p video signals may not be output, depending on
the HDMI cable being used.

Note
This unit does not support HDCP. HDCP is a standard
for protecting audio and video contents with HDMI or
DVI connections. Copyright-protected contents
cannot be played on this unit.
This unit does not support Deep Color, xvYCC or CEC.

Attaching the HDMI
retaining cover
This unit comes with an HDMI retaining cover for
preventing the HDMI cable from coming loose. Be sure to
attach the cover.
Note
Depending on type of HDMI cable connected, it may
not be possible to fasten the cable with the HDMI
retaining cover. In this case, fasten in place using the
four fixing holes used when using a binder in step 1
below.
The connector sizes of HDMI cables which can be
fastened with the HDMI retaining cover are shown
below. However, depending on the shape of the
connector, the position of the cable, etc., it may not be
possible to fasten the cable.
