Cutting Units Will Not Lower
Cause Correction
Solenoid Valve SV1 not shifting. Do electrical diagnostics to make sure that voltage is
being applied to SV1 and that there is no electrical
fault. See Chapter 5 - Electrical System.
Test solenoid coil. Replace if faulty. See Chapter 5 -
Electrical System.
Do cartridge valve s ervice procedure for valve SV1.
Replace faulty valve.
Solenoid valve(s) SV3, SV4, or SV5 not shifting.
Solenoid valve(s) SV6 or SV7 not shifting.
(Reelmaster 6700-D #6 & #7 cutting units only)
Do electrical diagnostics to make sure that voltage is
being applied to s olenoid for affected circuit and that
there is no electrical fault. See Chapter 5 - Electrical
System.
Test solenoid coil. Replace if faulty. See Chapter 5 -
Electrical System.
Do cartridge valve service procedure for valve in
affected circuit.
Interchange suspect valve with any of the remaining
valves (SV3 thru SV7) and check operation.
Replace faulty valve.
Solenoid Valve SV2 not returning. Do electrical diagnostics to make sure that voltage is
being removed from SV2 and that there is no electrical
fault. See Chapter 5 - Electrical System.
Do cartridge valve s ervice procedure for valve SV2.
Replace faulty valve.
Relief valve R3 by-passing oil. TEST NO. 4. Replace faulty valve.
Flow control valve(s) closed. Adjust flow control valve(s) to desired lowering speed.
