4. Map retrieval methods
Basic operation
Retrieving a map using a freeway entrance/exit
name
A map can be retrieved using the name of a freeway or a freeway entrance/exit.
Enter the freeway name by
touching the switches on the
screen.
● Up to 24 letters can be entered.
● Touch to delete letters entered by
mistake.
● Lettered touch switches with no
corresponding search result will appear
inverted. Input is not enabled for these
switches.
● The number of freeways is displayed
as each letter is touched.
Touch .
● A list of search results for the entered
freeway is displayed.
● If there is only one corresponding
freeway, screen will appear.
Touch the freeway name you want
to display.

If the number of stored names corresponding to the letters you have entered
reaches 5 or less, a screen automatically appears displaying the search results.
