set port Administratively disables or reenables a port.
Syntax —
set port {enable | disable} port-list
■ enable — Enables the specified ports.
■ disable — Disables the specified ports.
■ port-list — List of physical ports. MSS disables or reenables all the
specified ports.
Defaults — All ports are enabled.
Access — Enabled.
History — Introduced in MSS Version 3.0.
Usage — A port that is administratively disabled cannot send or receive
packets. This command does not affect the link state of the port.
Examples — The following command disables port 6:
WX1200# set port disable 6
success: set "disable" on port 6
The fol1owing command reenables the port:
WX1200# set port enable 6
success: set "enable" on port 6

set port-group Configures a load-sharing port group. All ports in the group function as a
single logical link.
Syntax —
set port-group name group-name port-list
mode {on | off}
■ name group-name — Alphanumeric string of up to 255 characters,
with no spaces.
■ port-list — List of physical ports. All the ports you specify are
configured together as a single logical link.
